This twig vase has been turned from “Mexican Rosewood” (Bocote,Cordia alliodora). It is a tropical American hardwood with a medium coarse and very dramatic grain pattern. It can also be spectacularly colorful. The wood is dense and heavy,as are many tropical American woods. It takes a veryfine finish, as revealed in this turned twig vase.
