Mounted sculptural form turned from Gold Mallee Burl cap (Australia), with base of Cocobolo Rosewood

October 12, 2020

Two of the world's most beautiful woods are combined here to create an elevated sculptural form. The highlight is the Australian Gold Mallee Burl cap, but the stand is Cocobolo Rosewood, thought by many to be the "Queen of the Rosewoods." It has been stabilized by a base footing of Maidou Burl (Vietnam). Magnificent wood all around!
