Lidded vessel turned from Claro Walnut, with inlay of Buckeye Burl, and finial of African Blackwood
December 20, 2020
This lidded vessel combines three woods that have a palette in the gray/black/brown color range. The Claro Walnut vessel itself has much more color and figure than the Walnut we're familiar with from furniture; most of it comes from Oregon. Buckeye Burl cut-offs often make for fine small inlay disks, and African Blackwood is the premier detail wood available to woodturners.
