This bud vase has been turned from “Mexican Rosewood” (Bocote; Cordia alliodora), tropical American hardwood with a medium coarse, very dramatic grain pattern. The wood can also be spectacularly colorful. The woodi s dense and heavy, as are many tropical American woods. It takes a very fine finish. The glass tube included is five inches in length.
