The bowl here is available for purchase. It has been turned from African Mahogany (Sapele) and Figured Maple, two wonderfully complementary woods. Both woods have gorgeous “iridescence” or chatoyance (the latter is a beautiful optical reflection found in certain gemstones and woods), and make for a dramatic contrast in color. The lamination of the woods is seamless, with a simple but elegant profile.
